On Friday 25th November, seven members of staff left to close down Penygeulan Cottage, in Wales for winter. After arriving in the pitch black, donning torches, walking down a beaten track, the cottage, even at night, was beautifully quaint.
The cottage houses a picturesque fireplace, adequate kitchen; including a range cooker, eating area and 2 large bedrooms, sleeping 18 in total.
The next morning, after a very comfortable sleep, and a homemade breakfast, (where everybody contributed) the cottage was given a good clean before we headed off, to what can only be described as some of the most stunning views ever seen. The weather was fantastic for this time of year and the views and sights that Mr Cushen took the party to were breath-taking.
The students who get to stay at the cottage and visit the sights are so privileged to be able to experience what the staff have this weekend.
Looking forward to next year, when we can do it all again.
