We are incredibly proud to share that following our recent inspection, Smith’s Wood Academy has made significant improvements and is no longer in special measures.
In a recent letter from His Majesty’s Chief Inspector, Sir Martyn Oliver, the school was congratulated on this achievement. The letter recognises that the progress made is the result of hard work, commitment and dedication from many people. It highlights the clear focus across the school on improving outcomes for all pupils since the last inspection, and the real impact this has had.
This is a significant milestone in our journey and one that reflects the collective effort of our entire school community.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Principal, Steve Huntington, for his strong leadership and clear vision, which have guided the school through this period of transformation. We are incredibly grateful to all the staff at Smith’s Wood Academy, whose relentless dedication has driven improvement every day. Our thanks also go to our parents and carers for their continued trust and partnership, to our pupils who inspire us with their commitment to learning and to our wider community for their encouragement and support.
