tudents in Years 7 and 8 had the exciting opportunity to take part in a workshop led by Jacob Bannerman from Channel 4, giving them valuable insight into the creative industry while helping them develop key transferable skills.
Throughout the session, students were challenged to think creatively, work collaboratively and tackle a range of problem-solving activities. The workshop encouraged them to share ideas, communicate effectively and work as part of a team, all essential skills that will support them both in school and in their future careers.
The engaging activities gave students a taste of the creative processes used within the media industry, helping them build confidence and resilience while exploring new ways of thinking. Students embraced the challenges with enthusiasm, demonstrating excellent teamwork and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones.
Experiences like these play an important role in preparing young people for the future by developing the skills employers are looking for, regardless of the career path they choose.
A huge thank you to Jacob Bannerman and Channel 4 for delivering such an inspiring and interactive workshop. We look forward to providing more opportunities like this for our students in the future.
