Academy Life

Smith's Wood Academy Library

Welcome to Smith's Wood Academy Library

We are excited to reopen the library at Smith’s Wood Academy.

Our aim is to develop a school community of enthusiastic readers and instil a life – long love of reading. We strive to promote reading for pleasure and for students to recognise the benefits of reading for their academic progress and well-being.

The library is a welcoming, inclusive safe space for all students and staff wishing to use it. Students can choose from over 5000 titles of fiction and non-fiction resources. Reference books and textbooks can be found in the library to support with our curriculum subjects and laptops with internet access are available for self-study and homework.
