Smith's Wood Academy Uniform
At Smith’s Wood Academy we believe in the importance of taking pride in our appearance and in representing ourselves and the Academy in a positive manner at all times; including on the way to and from the academy.
We believe that wearing the correct uniform sets the standards for learning, conveys the positive image that the Academy warrants in the local community and also ensures that staff are able to focus their attention on students’ learning. In the same way many employers expect their staff to wear a uniform, we expect our students to wear the Smith’s Wood Academy uniform correctly each and every day.

Academy Uniform List
- Black Blazer
- Smith's Wood pocket Badge - Mandatory branded item
- Black tailored skirt or black tailored trousers
- White Collared shirt
- Tie in House Colour - Mandatory branded item
- Black plain shoes - Should have black laces only, leather or leather-look and polishable.
- Trainers, boots, fabric, canvas shoes are not acceptable.
- Plain black or white socks or plain black or natural coloured tights
- Smith's Wood logo bag or similar black bag
- Headscarves worn for religious purposes must be black
- Earrings: One metal stud in each ear - No other Jewellery
- Watches: One watch is allowed - No smart watches
- No extreme haircuts or colours - No tram lines
