Reaching for the Stars at The Core Theatre
Our Year 9 and 10 Music and Drama students recently traded the classroom for the spotlight during an inspiring trip to The Core Theatre in Solihull.
The day was a fantastic deep dive into the Creative Arts, featuring live performances by talented local artists and networking sessions with employers and businesses from across the industry. It was a brilliant opportunity for our students to see the real world career paths available in the arts.
A huge shout out goes to our standout performers: Roxanne S and Rosie G (Year 9) and Jorja S (Year 10). These students wowed the audience with an impromptu performance, showcasing their incredible singing talent.
At Smith’s Wood Academy, we encourage our students to reach for the stars and seeing them take such bold steps into the professional creative world is absolutely brilliant. Well done to everyone involved!
